What The Heck Should We Do During Our Session?
Ah! Great question. It’s simple. Think about what your family loves doing together, and start there. Think back to your last Saturday or Sunday adventure. What did you guys do? Where did you go? What makes your family tick? What makes your family HAPPY? Those are all great questions to answer to help you brainstorm. And if you respond with, “But we’re boring! All we do is hang out at home!” then I’ll respond with “OK AWESOME! In-home sessions are some of my favs!” And with 2020 figuratively and literally being on fire… maybe In-Home Sessions are the way to go! 😉
For In-Home Sessions, think about what do you do at home together… Legos? Puzzles? Baking? Lounging on the couch watching movies? LET’S DO IT. I promise you, if this is the season of life that you’re in… it deserves to be documented. You’re allowed to document your life… even if you think it’s boring. Cause guess what? IT’S NOT BORING. This is your family and if you love them like I know you do… then you’ll want to have some proof, ya know?! And cell phone photos are great… but are you really framing those for your wall? Or are they stuck in your phone for no one else to see?
Book the session. Cause you’ll look back in 20 years, when your babies aren’t babies (maybe they’ll even have babies for themselves! Ah!) and you’ll thank yourself. And then cry, because you miss your babies being babies.
